Frame relay is a customer-premises data service which is provided to you by your telephone company. HarborNet can provide Internet access via frame relay from 56K up through T-1 rates. We can help you with getting your circuit properly ordered and configured. This provides a cost effective reliable solution for businesses that need a full-time, high bandwidth Internet connection. Your network site can host a full range of Internet services, including web servers, mail servers, file servers, conferences, news servers, etc. Internet connectivity can be offered to employees for telecommuting, research, etc. Frame relay does require specialized hardware to communicate with the frame relay network. This additional equipment usually ranges between $1500 to $3500 for this hardware.
As with all of our customer-premises services, our fees are only for the Internet access portion; you are responsible for any fees incurred from the telephone company for the "Local Loop" portion of the circuit.
Fractional T1 & T1 Access

We also provide high-speed access via Point-To-Point leased T-1 lines. Since these are dedicated lines, the setups are substantially higher than for frame relay since hardware has to be procured and maintained for
each T-1 customer. As with frame relay, the customer would have to purchase T-1 capable hardware, which ranges in price from $2000 to $4000.
