Recently, you may have noticed a change in your Internet speeds. Over the past couple of weeks (and for several weeks to come), Click! has been upgrading their network. We're now offering different levels of service.

In the past, you may have noticed that your Internet connection was much faster than the advertised speed. This was due to the fact that Click! was allowing all cable modems on the network to run at a speed faster than advertised. This has recently changed and Internet speeds are now capped at advertised levels due to several reasons:

1. Abuse: People hosting and misusing the service are consuming a large amout of the available bandwidth. The new services restrict their use to the level they've subscribed to.

2. Bandwidth: In order to ensure that everybody has a great experience with their Internet connection, bandwidth limits must be applied. The new services help to keep costs low so your prices stay low.

3. Future Growth: HarborNet and Click! offer a very high-speed Internet connection for a very competitive rate. As the network grows, HarborNet and Click! want to ensure that everyone sees Internet speeds as close as possible to advertised levels. Without limits, users have a much higher probablility of seeing very slow Internet speeds when the network is under a heavy load.
